By road and ferry from Glasgow take the M8 and A8 through Greenock to Gourock. There are two Ferry locations:

1 - Signpost to the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry as you enter Gourock. This ferry takes you to the centre of Dunoon from where you:

Turn left when you exit the ferry. Follow the road which changes name form Pier Esplanade to Tom-a-Mhoid Road to Wellington Street (still the A815) and turn right after the swing park into Kilbride Road at the large signposted coach park. Follow Kilbride Road and take the first on the left up Crochan Road. Follow Crochan Road 100 meters up the road and turn right. Eileagan is forty meters on the right. Park and walk round to the front of the house.

2 - Western Ferries at McInroys point at the far end of Gourock. This ferry takes you to Hunters Key from where you:

Turn left onto the A 815 and follow the road into Dunoon. Continue straight at the first mini roundabout and turn left at the second mini roundabout, adjacent to the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry car park and the main pier. Pass the pier and follow the directions from the Pier esplanade as above.

By road only from Glasgow take the M8 to the Erskine Bridge. Cross the bridge and head West on the A82 toward Loch Lomond. Follow the A82 to Tarbet on Loch Lomond and go straight ahead (leaving the A*”) on to the A83 through Arrocher. Follow the A803 over the Rest and be Thankful and take the Cowal turnoff on to the A815. Follow the A815 through Strachur, past Loch Eck to Sandbank. At Sandbank continue straight onto the High Road, A885 to Dunoon. Turn left at the traffic lights (there is no other option) and right at the mini roundabout onto Marine Parade towards the mini roundabout at the pier. Pass the pier and follow the directions from the Pier Esplanade as above.

By road from the North take the A82 from Inverness through Fort William, Ballachulish, Tynedrum, Crianlarich and Loch Lomond to Tarbet, Loch Lomond then as above.

By public transport from Glasgow take the train from Glasgow Central to Gourock and the ferry to Dunoon. Contact us in advance and we will endeavour to either pick you up at the ferry or provide you with a number for a local taxi. There is a taxi rank at the ferry terminal. The distance is about one mile.
